I might be the biggest birthday snob...

I'm pretty sure I've been a birthday snob my whole life. I absolutely love my birthday and love celebrating all month long. This past year has been my golden year (I turned 27 on the 27th) and I can say it's definitely been one of my most memorable.

Here's some big moments that happened during my golden year:

  • Said goodbye to my Grandma (who I wrote a blog post about)

  • Welcomed Arlo to our family and became his Auntie Kass

  • Celebrated one year of KASH Collections

  • KASH got TikTok Verified

  • Got a huge promotion at Energize Delaware

  • Spoke at my first conference as KASH Collections (Thx #MILLSUMMIT)

  • Saw my favorite band ever, Twenty One Pilots

And the list could go on and on with many more memories.

If you don't know, being a "birthday snob" is someone who is obsessed with their birthday, celebrates possibly more than on their actual birthday, and thinks it's the biggest day of the year. I think being a birthday snob comes on a scale. For the most part, we all love our birthdays to an extent. Right?

Everyone should celebrate their birthday big. As someone who has struggled with mental illness, I didn't think I'd even make it to 27. I am so happy to be alive and celebrate me for another year.

My favorite birthday tradition is birthweek. Most people just say, "it's my birthweek" and don't actually do anything... not in my house. I don't remember when my mom started this tradition but for the week leading up to my birthday, I always got a small present. One of the most memorable, because it was so random, was a purple holepunch in high school. This year mom gave me some really special ones including my late grandmother's ring and a puzzle of our family portrait.

Luckily I have the best boyfriend in the world who carries on this tradition. Austin spreads out all my gifts, small and large, throughout the week instead of giving me them on my actual birthday. I also think this is a way to get more presents, so definitely try to implement this in your household if you can!

PS: To celebrate my 28th birthday, KASH Collections is having a 28% off sale! I just launched the new KASH Co. Club Rewards program as well. Sign up on the bottom left of your browser.

Cheers to living
